Maurice helps. You decide.
Maurice is your operational assistant in WorkPilot. He follows all your jobs, timers, work orders and customer questions — and gives you the right signal at the right moment.
Maurice doesn't take autonomous actions. He suggests — you decide.
What Maurice does today
- ✓Answer status questions about jobs and timers
- ✓Flag missing follow-up on completed jobs
- ✓Suggest job creation from natural language input
- ✓Surface stalled timers and overdue follow-up
- ✗Make autonomous decisions
- ✗Send emails to customers without approval
- ✗Modify financial records
- ✗Replace technicians or their judgment
- ✗Track GPS continuously
- ○Voice intake of phone calls
- ○Automated phone follow-up of customers
- ○Cross-tenant intelligence (with explicit opt-in only)
Three practical examples
Status questions in seconds
"Maurice, what is Dylan working on?" and "How long has Robby's timer been running?" — answered in seconds, without calling.
Flag missing follow-up
Maurice shows which jobs are done but not yet followed up or sent to invoicing. You decide whether to act.
Create and suggest jobs
"Create a job for tomorrow at client X." Maurice prepares the base for the admin — you confirm and assign.
No replacement for technicians
Maurice doesn't replace technicians. He protects their focus. Without good field workers, everything stops. WorkPilot makes their work visible and valued.
A great technician is worth their weight in gold. Maurice helps make that visible — by catching status questions, flagging missing follow-up, and surfacing incomplete work orders.
Maurice respects your data
Maurice uses your business data to help you — not to train anything else. No cross-tenant leaks. No selling to third parties.
OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini and Whisper-1 are used for specific actions (suggestions, voice-to-work-order) with per-company budget-gating. Processing via OpenAI's Enterprise API without using your data to train their models.
Frequently asked questions
What does Maurice do exactly?
Maurice follows all your jobs, timers and work orders. He suggests actions: call this customer back, this quote expires tomorrow, this job has been running longer than expected. He doesn't execute these actions on his own — you always decide.
What decisions does Maurice make?
None. Maurice makes suggestions. Every action is approved or rejected by a human.
What AI does Maurice use?
For most functions, Maurice is rule-based — no AI needed. For natural-language suggestions we use OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini. For voice-to-work-order we use Whisper-1. Both with per-company budget-gating, no training on your data.
What if Maurice gets something wrong?
Because Maurice doesn't execute actions, an error has no direct consequence. You see a suggestion, you reject it, you move on.
Can Maurice replace my technicians?
No. Maurice protects the focus of your field workers. He catches status questions so they can work undisturbed. A great technician is worth their weight in gold. Maurice makes that visible.
What about data privacy?
Your data is in the EU on Supabase infrastructure. AI processing via OpenAI happens without training on your data (Enterprise API). No cross-tenant data sharing. No selling to third parties.
AI Transparency
Maurice is a limited-risk AI system under the EU AI Act. Here is exactly what it does and does not do.
- ✓Analyses your planning, materials, customer history and invoicing
- ✓Provides suggestions (signals, reminders, recommendations)
- ✓Shows figures and insights to support your decisions
- ✗Make decisions on your behalf
- ✗Execute actions without your confirmation
- ✗Contact customers or suppliers on your behalf
- ✗Share your data outside your company
Maurice's AI suggestions are based on rule-based logic (your own thresholds), statistical patterns in your data, and models trained on anonymised business data. You can disable Maurice at any time via Settings → AI.
