Questions about materials in WorkPilot

Do I need to enter all my materials before I can start?+
No. You can start with an empty catalogue and add items as you use them. CSV import is also available for those with an existing list.
What's the difference between a material request and an order proposal?+
A request comes from a technician per job. An order proposal is generated by WorkPilot based on usage patterns, grouped by supplier. You decide which proposals to convert into an order.
Can I track purchase and selling prices?+
Yes. Each item has a purchase and selling price. The margin per job is calculated based on the registered material cost.
Does this work with suppliers that have no API?+
Yes. WorkPilot generates an order proposal that you can manually forward to your supplier. A direct integration is not required.
Is this suitable for small teams with 3-5 technicians?+
Absolutely. The materials module is scalable, from a simple catalogue for small teams to a full approval and ordering workflow for larger crews.
